We always appreciate the contribution made to our work by volunteers. We call them FANS - 'Friends of All Nations'.
Dedicated FANS and residential volunteers generously give time to help with grounds maintenance, IT support, catering, hospitality and a variety of administrative duties. It’s a great way to use God-given gifts to bless our wonderful community.
There are many opportunities to join us as a local volunteer. We'll provide a meal if you work at least 4 hours a day and contribute to your travel costs. Plus, you get to work at the beautiful Easneye estate – among the bluebells, daffodils, pheasants and deer!
We're looking for time and talents in these areas:
Do you love DIY, decorating, gardening? Are you handy with a hammer? Our Premises team would love you to join them in looking after our beautiful campus, buildings and site.
They say the kitchen is the heart of the home. Ours certainly is for our students, staff, visitors and guests. If you’re good with a chopping board, know your way around a dishwasher and have a heart for hospitality, our chefs would love to have you on their team!
Do you have a gift of administration? Does the thought of providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of things fill you with joy? And do you like variety in your work? Are you the flexible friend who would be happy to work across College according to need (which fluctuates between departments during the academic year). If this sounds like you, we have opportunities across our College departments just for you.
Are you passionate about helping people access learning? Do you know your way around library systems? Our wonderful learning services and Library team would love you to join them in making our learning resources available for our Campus based students and those accessing learning from around the world. This role could include sorting books in our amazing library, cataloguing our extensive physical and digital mission resources, or providing our students with learning support.
If you have qualifications or experience in student mentoring, learning support, TEFL, proofreading or library services, that would be a huge bonus. Either way, if you’re interested, please get in touch!
Do you have the gift of hospitality? Enjoy making spaces ready to host all manner of events? Have the natural ability for making people feel welcome? Then why not consider joining our Conferencing team. Whether it's preparing for an Afternoon Tea, ensuring conference delegates have a comfortable bedroom to sleep in, serving refreshments to our visitors, or making our Campus look beautiful to welcome our guests, volunteering in the Conferencing team will be varied, busy and a sure way to increase your step count! If this challenge is right up your street, get in touch!
The College offers a range of Christian academic courses and our students come from all parts of the world. It is therefore essential that everyone who joins the community has an interest in cross-cultural mission. We can only accept volunteers over the age of 21, and who have the right to work in the UK. We're unable to sponsor visas for volunteer roles.
