…then the Express (Online) course may be just what you are looking for.

What is Express (Online)?

Express (Online) is a short, dynamic course that can be accessed by studying online for 20 hours over 4 weeks. The course is delivered through online lessons and a workbook which will be commented on by a member of the All Nations training team. We encourage peer learning through a discussion forum

The aim of Express (Online) is to lay a foundation for the understanding and practice of cross-cultural missions in any context, home or abroad.

The course topics are built around 3 key questions:

  1. What is mission?
  2. Why get involved in cross-cultural mission?
  3. How can I work well with those from other cultural backgrounds?

There are also four cross-cutting themes that run throughout the course to help focus the learning. These are:

  1. Biblical Foundations
  2. Cultural Awareness
  3. People Skills
  4. Practical Issues

Express (Online) will give you the tools to make the most of a short mission trip.

What Express (Online) is not...

  • A substitute for in-depth training for longer term mission service if you intend to be serving abroad for more than 6 months.
  • An accredited, academic course.

What are the entry criteria?

There are no prior academic requirements for Express (Online).  Those who are confident in expressing themselves in written English will benefit most from the course. Applicants from outside of the EAA, Switzerland and the UK Government’s list of majority English Speaking Nations* will need a SELT IELTS General Training* pass of 5.5 or above.

What qualification will I get?

The All Nations Express (Online) certificate.

How is the online course delivered?

The course is delivered through lessons, discussion forums and a downloadable workbook.

What are the technical requirements?

If you are interested in studying the Express (Online) course online there are some technical requirements for you to be able to access the course.

You will need the following:

  • A minimum of 33.6kb per second dialup or any broadband connection (including WIFI).
  • An internet browser (preferably Mozilla Firefox) and email.
  • Word-processing software (capable of reading and writing files in Word format).
  • Acrobat Reader.
  • Optional: A sound card and speakers that would allow you to play audio files that would enhance your learning experience.
