Volleyball at All Nations

Although All Nations is primarily a mission training college, it is also so much more! At the heart of All Nations is a desire to invest in students holistically, and this can be seen in the many extra-curricular activities run by staff, students and the college committee.

There are choirs for students who are musically gifted, and occasional 'jamming' sessions. For people who love being outdoors there is a range of sporty activities such as 'ultimate frisbee', volleyball and football which are run weekly. A student who was interested in writing poetry set up a weekly 'Poetry Corner' which really took off, providing a creative half-hour break! This term one woman has committed to running sign language classes every week, which has been brilliant. One term a memory verse club was set up to encourage the learning of Bible verses! There are so many diverse elements to life in college, with students and staff using their gifts to encourage and help others.

The local area is full of places to visit and things to do. The town of Ware is within walking distance and in summer the lido opens there, a great place to go for a swim. Hertford is along the River Lea from Ware, and Hertford’s town centre still has its medieval layout with many timber-framed buildings. Hertford also has a big grassy common, perfect for picnics and sports, alongside a public tennis court. The town is very historic, with the remains of the original Hertford Castle still to be seen. There is also a theatre, with many local shows being produced.

All Nations is in such a prime location, situated in rural Hertfordshire yet close to small towns and a fast link into London. It's such a blessing to live and study here, and to be able to make the most of the beautiful countryside.
