2020 was the year the world was turned upside down. 2021 is the year to be transformed from the inside out!

Do you need time to consider your next steps while thriving in a Christian community and combining it with the adventure of seeing what God is doing in the world on international mission trip? Then this is the gap year for you!

All Nations, in collaboration with our friends at AWM Pioneers, Interserve and Latin Link, are running an exciting gap year programme starting in September 2021.

Receive mentoring and pastoral care in a tutor group to nurture your faith and help you connect with God in a deeper way.

Here are just some of the things you can expect:

  • Contribute to the ongoing ministry of a long-term team working overseas in cross-cultural ministry.
  • Learn about different religions, cultures and languages.
  • Develop your team-work and practical skills as you volunteer in the Catering, Housekeeping and Premises Departments serving our vibrant college community.
  • Build friendships and learn how to share your faith in different cultures as you become part of the vibrant and fun All Nations community.
  • Discover, through our ‘En Route’ course. This is a ten-week course (1 college term) that looks at topics such as ‘Who am I?’, keeping healthy in body, mind and spirit, and working as part of a cross-cultural team. This course will provide you with essential training that covers the basics of cross-cultural service, and is ideal for those who are considering involvement in cross-cultural work at home or abroad but have little or no previous training. The best part is this is a really informative and reflective course and there are no exams or written assignments!

When do I start?

Although this is a gap ‘year’, we understand that it may be helpful to have a bit more time to save up the pennies to do it – so we have incorporated two separate starting dates to suit your needs.

Track 1:   Application deadline: 6 September 2021  |  Gap Year start date: 23 September 2021  |  Gap Year finish date: beginning of July  |  Cost: £3,900*

Track 2 (6 months):   Application deadline: 31 October 2021  |  Gap Year start date: 5 January 2022  |  Gap Year finish date: 2 of July  |  Cost: £3,900*

The Cost

Your time at All Nations Christian College (from mid-September or January, to beginning of July the following year) would cost you *£3,900 as indicated above. This is a special rate for Inside Out Gappers and includes the En Route course at a discounted rate, plus all your full board accommodation (which includes breakfast lunch and dinners).

You pay an additional fee to the mission agency you decide to partner with for your international trip.

How to Apply

To apply, please contact us at gapyear@allnations.ac.uk and let us know which track you would like to do. Please note, before you begin your application with us, you will need to choose a mission organisation to do your placement with (although the finer details don’t have to be sorted to apply, we are also here to help you if you need)!

For more information on each organisation, please see the links below and ask them about any placement questions or information you may want to know:

We look forward to meeting you and seeing how God transforms you from the Inside Out!

*This includes accommodation, food and the En Route course whilst based at All Nations but does not include costs related to your international trip or any activities with the mission partner. These are additional.
