ICT System Administrator Vacancy - All Nations College

 

2021 and beyond will be an exciting time to work with us here at All Nations Christian College as we expand our deployment of innovative technology-enhanced learning to connect staff and students worldwide effectively. ICT is therefore at the centre of this strategic aim of the College, and you will play an important part in providing excellent service delivery and support to College staff and students.  

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and motivated System Administrator to support the ICT Manager in ensuring smooth and effective day to day running and maintenance of the College’s ICT infrastructure and systems. This is a ‘hands-on’ role, and requires someone experienced, with proven technical problem solving and system administration skills, who is resourceful and highly self-motivated. The job would ideally suit someone who considers this role as a form of practical ministry.

The primary purpose of this role is to support the provision and maintenance of reliable, effective, secure and responsive ICT and AV (audio visual) systems and solutions to College staff and students.

Main responsibilities will involve:

  1. Providing effective and timely ICT support to staff and students enabling them to achieve their goals within the agreed aims of the College
  2. Managing user administration, security and permissions within various ICT management systems (e.g. AD, O365, VMWare etc.)
  3. Implementing and managing a new ICT service desk system
  4. Monitoring and managing ICT service delivery on a day to day basis, including the setting and delivery of targets
  5. Clearly recording and documenting systems and processes, including change management
  6. Developing new skills which support the development and maintenance of our ICT infrastructure and AV solutions
  7. Researching, piloting and proposing new innovative and efficient methods of service delivery within a highly cost sensitive environment
  8. Deputising for the ICT Manager as required
  9. As far as time allows, participation in College activities and life as a member of the All Nations community

This role may involve working some evenings and weekends.  

As a college equipping students to prepare for Christian work, it is important that anyone joining us, whether employed or volunteering, feels comfortable working in such an environment. Location: Easneye, Ware, Hertfordshire

Hours of work: Part Time/Full time negotiable – 2.5 days to 5 days per week (18.75 - 37.5 hours p/w). 

Salary: 12,500 (0.5) -  £25,000 FTE

Starting date: As soon as possible
