Approach to Training
allnations training equips men and women with effective tools for world mission, wherever they may find themselves
Our training focuses on three key areas:
Biblical: understanding and applying God’s Word
Intercultural: understanding other cultures and how to engage with them
Personal Development: understanding ourselves and others
The training at allnations is holistic and so we have also integrated our three specialist areas of study into our overall programme. The specialist areas are:
• The Arts: understanding the importance of creative communication
• Development: understanding poverty and bringing good news to the poor
• Leadership: understanding leadership from a Christian perspective
Teaching and Learning
We are keen to train the whole person for effective mission in God’s multicultural world. Our teaching styles are varied and innovative. We teach through interactive classes, small group seminars, case studies, debates, and arts workshops. Students also spend time in personal research and study and reflect on their learning through a range of assessments.
We recognise the importance of practical ministry. Each student can choose from either a local church placement or a practical project linked with the local community. The range of projects vary from working with the homeless and marginalised to international student work, youth and children’s ministry, sports ministry and more.
Every student is assigned a personal tutor to help mentor and support them through their studies. We recognise that students come from a variety of backgrounds in terms of education, qualifications and experience, and therefore personal tutoring is beneficial to the individual needs of the student.
Our longer courses are validated by the Open University which is officially recognised as a premier academic institution throughout the UK, the European Union and the rest of the world.
